Thursday, July 10: The Submarine Force Museum visits the Library to teach us all about submarines and how they work.

Calling all local writers! Join us at this workshop to unleash your creativity and overcome writer's block through a series of engaging prompts and writing exercises.

All Aboard! Children ages 2 and up with a caregiver are invited to drop by the Children's Storytime Room to build and play with our extensive collection of wooden trains. Children must be supervised by their adults while playing in the room.

Monday, July 14: The Submarine Force Museum visits the Library to help us understand "A Day in the Life of a Submariner". 

DOODLES Art Lab joins us on Tuesday, July 15 with their process-based creation station! These half-hour storytimes feature a craft related to the story each week. For children ages 3-5 with a caregiver. 

The book for this meeting is The Troop by Nick Cutter.

A summer favorite returns to McCook's Bandshell! Ed Popielarcyzk delights and amuses audiences of all ages with his magic show!

Learn baby sign language with Miss Sarah at this fun, interactive storytime for babies and toddlers! Sing, play, dance and learn through stories, rhymes, puppets and songs. Best for birth to three, and older siblings are always welcome.

Wednesday, July 16: Shell & Bee Studio from Deep River will visit the Library to lead this Anime Drawing workshop. This program will be held in the East Lyme Room. 

Join us for an evening of relaxing crafting as we create with metal stamping bracelets.  Materials provided. Registration required. Ages 16 and up. Limited to 12 participants.

Thursday, July 10: DOODLES Art Lab in Niantic brings their open studio materials to the Library! Children will have free reign of their creativity during this free workshop. 

Visit the East Lyme Public Library market tent at the Niantic Farmers Market on Methodist Street, this summer! Explore a selection of our lawn games to borrow, and learn about our expanding Library of Things!

Join us as we watch the 1975 classic film Jaws.

Monday, July 21: Doodles Art Lab in Niantic will bring their open studio materials to the Library for children to create with! This program will be held in the Olive Chendali Room. 

Read "My Heart is Like a Zoo" and make designs out of paper hearts with Miss Sarah. These half-hour storytimes feature a craft related to the story each week. For children ages 3-5 with a caregiver. 

We are excited to host Kazi Oliver for a night of high energy African Drumming! Kazi will bring a variety of percussion instruments for the audience to play during the show.

Wednesday, July 23: The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center is bringing live animals to the Library to teach us about predator and prey relationships. This program will be held in the East Lyme Room.
