Read to Hazel the Therapy Dog

Read to Hazel! Hazel is a certified therapy dog who loves listening to our young readers. Children gain confidence when they read aloud to a friendly, non-judgmental dog. 

Hazel visits us most Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00pm. Children ages 6 and up can register for a 10-minute slot to read to her. Registration is required at 860-739-6926 ext 2, or you can drop by the Children's Room to register. Readers must be supervised by an adult guardian, and a permission slip is required for this program.
