Event Details

Calling young authors! Author Kimberly Behre Kenna will guide young adults in their creative writing endeavors during this multi-day workshop. From August 4-7th at 2:30-4:00pm in the East Lyme Room, aspiring authors will use science to spark ideas for creative writing projects. Use antique maps to draw out the location of your stories and a physics instrument called a Euler's disc to create different facets of your character's personality.

Creative Writing Tween Panel: on Monday, August 11 from 6:30-7:30pm in the East Lyme Senior Center, author Kimberly Behre Kenna will lead a panel discussion of the tweens that participated in the writing workshop the week before. The public is invited to hear their stories and ask questions about their writing.

Registration is required and space is limited. Participants must be able to attend all 4 workshop sessions and the panel discussion. Please call the Children's Department with questions: 860-739-6926 ext. 2, or email rscotka@ely.lioninc.org.
